The First Church in Swampscott (40 Monument Avenue) is hosting a yard sale where everything is a dollar on Saturday, June 17th from 8 am to 1 pm. The sale will take place in the driveway and front lawn of the church, which is located at 40 Monument Avenue. In the event of rain, the sale will be held in Clarke Hall. The sale aims to re-distribute goods across the community rather than sending them to landfills. Bargain hunters will find many unique household items, books, and clothing, and all priced at just $1. And, if you'd like to get in the spirit and reduce clutter in your own home, donations are gladly accepted at the church office (behind the church), in the days preceding the yard sale. Proceeds from the sale will be used to fund a ministry called Cherish the Earth, which is focused on environmental issues and awareness, as well as beautification of the church property through plantings. Feel free to contact the church office with any questions, 781-592-6081.
