$675,000 Paving Project Moves to Prospect and Cherry Streets

The town is winding up last year's paving project, completing Burrill Street work late last week.

Last year's $675,000 paving project is winding down. Burrill Street paving was completed last week from Monument Avenue to Paradise Road. This week, Prospect and Cherry Streets are scheduled for surfacing, said Public Works Director Gino Cresta. In the coming weeks, Tidd Street and Pierro Terrace are slated for road work, he said. The last two pieces of the paving contract with Aggregate Industries of Saugus calls for paving Ocean View Road and Sheraton Terrace, the director said. In its entirety, the contract covers 17 streets or 46,000 square yards of road in town, Cresta said earlier. Paving last fall included Stanley Road, Puritan Road, Bradlee Avenue, Morton Road, Blodgett Avenue and Northstone Road. Project funding draws on Chapter …
