Winner — Best Place to Buy Sporting Goods in Swampscott
We had a clear-cut tie this week in our Best of Patch Readers' Choice 2012 contest — What's the best place to buy sporting goods in town.
This week's Best of Patch Readers' Choice 2012 contest resulted in a dead heat. Olympia Sports at the Swampscott Mall and Big Blue Bargains Thrift Store at the back of the Middle School came in together. It was a photo finish so we developed the film and studied the image. Turned out both noses were against the wire. We declared dual winners. Both stores received the same number of votes in the contest and neither had a review or comment so there you go. It was a dead heat. We surmise that those seeking new sporting equipment go to Olympia and those seeking used go to Big Blue. Here are the results.
