The popular stretch of sandy beach was the pick for this week's Best of Patch Readers' Choice 2012 contest, asking for the best place to spend time during a stay-at-home vacation.
Vacation destinations close to home. That's what we asked readers this week for our Best of Patch Readers' Choice 2012 contest. The choices looked at summery spots in Swampscott and Marblehead and Salem. In the end readers selected Phillips Beach as the place to stay, home to dunes, a marsh, boardwalk and a stretch of sandy beach. Here are the voting results: This is not a scientific poll.
