Police Arrest Revere Stabbing Suspect

A Burrill Street resident faces a host of charges in Swampscott after a brief struggle with police early this morning. Revere police later took custody of him for charges including armed assault and battery with intent to commit murder.

Swampscott police chased down a Burrill Street resident after a fracas at his apartment early this morning. Later they learned that Jamaal Andrade, 28, of 184 Burrill St. was wanted by Revere police for a stabbing that took place at a party earlier in the evening, said Swampscott police Det. Tim Cassidy. Blue Hockey Game Ends in Deadlock: 2-2

Swampscott lines fired away on the Revere goal Saturday but failed to bang home the game-winner.

His team had lots of opportunties — more than 40 shots  — in their 2-2 afternoon tie on the Rockett Arena ice at Salem State University. "We didn't execute," the coach said. Blue scored both their goals in the first period. Senior forward Matt Videtta got Blue on the board with a power-play goal at the 8:03 mark, assisted by a pair of juniors, Chris Carman and Trevor Massey. A minute and five seconds later another junior, Corey Carmody, tallied Blue's second goal, assisted by senior Captain Gino Cresta and junior Robert Serino. Blue goalie …

Revere Ring May Have Connection to Swampscott Thefts

Earlier this month, Revere police arrested two Winthrop men caught with stolen sewer grates.

Two men arrested by Revere police may have a connection to storm drain thefts in Swampscott. In the early morning hours on Nov. 3, thieves lifted 10 cast-iron storm drain covers from Swampscott streets leaving gaping holes that put motorists and pedestrians at risk, Swampscott police said. A week later, Revere police arrested Michael Feudo and Eric Monahan of Winthrop after authorities found them with three sewer grates in Revere, according to the Boston Globe. Feudo reportedly admitted involvement in the larceny of 80 sewer grates in Revere, according to the Globe account. Police were investigating whether the theft ring responsible for the Revere grating thefts also had a role in thefts in other towns including Swampscott, the news …
