Part of this committee will be two community members who will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. Please email Dr. Celli at celli@swampscott.k12.ma.us by Thursday, Feb. 23, if you are interested in serving on the search committee. It is important to note that participants must be available afternoons and evenings for this process.

Middle School Principal Ralph Watson has been selected for a head position at a new upper school in Cambridge. He's leaving Swampscott with mixed emotions, he said this morning. The new job offers him the chance to be part of a new school community — Cambridge has merged four schools to form one that will include k-5 students and 6-8 students. His position will be as the head of the grades 6-8 part of the school. At the same time, leaving the job in Swampscott will be sad because of the six years he has been here working closely with the faculty and staff and getting to know the students.
