Middle School Mock Election Reelects the President and Others

Mrs. Rogers' 7th graders organized the voting.

  This article was submitted by Mrs. Abby Rogers Excitement was in the air as students from the Swampscott Middle School participated in a Mock Election Monday in the Swampscott Middle School Library. Mrs. Rogers's 7th grade Social Studies classes set up the polling site, checked the students in, and collected, counted, and recorded the ballots. The students had the privilege to cast their vote for U.S. President, U.S. Senator Massachusetts and U.S. Congress Massachusetts District 6. Winners of the Mock Election are: U.S. Congress-John Tierney U.S. Senator-Scott Brown U.S. President-Barack Obama
