UPDATED: Liquor Store Proposed for Burrill Street

The Zoning Board of Appeals is scheduled to take up the request on Wednesday night.

  A prospective business owner will seek a special use permit from the Zoning Board of Appeals on Wednesday to operate a "high-end" liquor store. The ZBA meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Swampscott Senior Center. Railroad Liquors LLC has petitioned the ZBA for the permit at 205 Burrill St., near the Swampscott Train Station. The store would need another approval before the establishment opened, said the town administrator. "The Board of Selectmen would still need to vote to approve an alcohol license for that establishment at a future public hearing if a special use permit is issued by the ZBA," Town Administrator Tom Younger said.
