Seniors' Halloween Fun
A senior citizen bash that was a monster of a mash.
By Betty Dean Holmes Rod said at the seniors Halloween party he was a dancing fool. He danced up and down the aisles with an assortment of ladies. But the very best was a lady who uses a walker. She wore a headband with an Indian feather and a beige fringed tunic. Rod got her up on her feet, and held her so they could dance. The smile on her face warmed my heart. I don't suppose she dared to dream she would ever dance again. I saw lots of wonderful costumes. There were several devils, a couple of cats, a wonderful Batman, cowboys, several witches, of which I was one. I turned my cane into a witch's broom, using a fringed brown paper bag. There were several gypsies, an Army guy, and I can't remember all the others. Oh, yes, one fellow …
