Clarke's Country Fair and Cow Plop is Sunday

The Clarke School's grounds will be transformed to a country fair with a cow in the field Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Come for the music. Come for the animals. Come for the plop. Most of all, organizers are hoping you will come to the 19th annual Country Fair and Cow Plop for the kids. The fair is Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Clarke Elementary School, 100 Middlesex Avenue. The rain date is June 5. The event, put on by the Clarke School PTA, is the school’s biggest fundraiser, generating over $10,000 each year, said Jeffrey Rubin. The funds pay for field trips to museums, enrichment programs such a poet in residence and other cultural doings. In the past, Chinese dancers have come to the school to demonstrate their art form and give the children dancing lessons, he said. On Sunday there will be plenty to do at the fair.
