Salem Police Charge Swampscott Brothers With B & E

The brothers claimed they entered a Salem residence early Friday morning to use the phone. A resident locked herself in an upstairs room when she heard two men in her kitchen.

  Salem police charged two Swampscott brothers with breaking into a Salem residence on Friday. John J. Larkin, 20, of 93 Essex St., Swampscott, was arrested on two charges of breaking and entering at night with intent to commit a crime, according to Salem police.  Phillip A. Larkin, 19, of 93 Essex St., Swampscott, was arrested on a charge of breaking and entering at night with intent to commit a crime, according to Salem police. About 5 am Friday, police received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the middle of Charles Street, the Salem police log states.
