Monday, Oct. 28:

• Selectmen meet at 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall to take up and sign warrant articles for the fall Town Meeting.

• The Capital Improvement Committee meets at 7 p.m. at Town Hall in the second-floor conference room to take up capital requests for the Nov. 18, Town Meeting.

Tuesday, Oct. 29:

• The Cultural Council meets at 7 p.m. at Swampscott High School to take up applications for grants from the council.

Thursday, Oct. 31:

• Trick or Treat. There are no set hours for the holiday.

Friday, Nov. 1:

• History Buffs with Lou Gallo at the Swampscott library from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Discussion group of local Swampscott history Anyone interested welcome to attend.

• First performance of the Laramie Project by the Swampscott High Drama Club at 7 p.m. in the auditorium at Swampscott High.
