Monday Essentials: School Committee, Selectmen, and New School Forum

Essential items in the coming week.


A lot is going on this week in Swampscott. 
School Committee members meet tonight, Monday, a day earlier than their regular meeting day.
The change comes to accommodate the School Building Committee's public forum on Tuesday at the high school, the first of two this week.
On Wednesday selectmen meet.
On Thursday, the School Building Committee holds its second school building forum.
Looking ahead to Sunday, the Swampscott Farmers' market will host its chefs' throwdown competition.

Monday:

  • School Committee meets at 7 at SHS in B208.
Tuesday:
  • The School Building Committee will host a public forum at 7 in the auditorium on options for a new or renovated elementary school.
Wednesday:
  • Selectmen meet at 7 at Town Hall. Agenda items include the carry in and carry out trash policy, and sidewalk and snow cleanup.
Thursday:
  • The School Building Committee will host a public forum at 7 in the auditorium on options for a new or renovated elementary school.
Sunday:
  • Chefs' Throwown competition at the Swampscott Farmers' Market. The market opens at 10 a.m. and goes until 1 p.m.
