Monday Essentials: A Christmas Carol, the Holiday Parade and a Slew of School and Town Meetings

Week Ahead

Monday, Dec. 9

The Planning Board meets at 7 at the Senior Center, located at the rear of Swampscott High, 200 Essex St. Meeting items include a review of a Humphrey Street Overlay District proposal, which may be presented for a vote in May at Town Meeting.

Tuesday, Dec. 10

The School Committee meets at 7 at Swampscott High in Room B208. Meeting items include vote to appoint Assistant Superintendent Pamela Angelakis as superintendent and an act relates to sepcial education funding.

The Renewable Energy Committee meets at 7 at Town Hall in the Selectmen's room. Meeting items include a discusion of the new school proposal, introduction of solar coach Sydney Pearce and talk on a plan to convert street lights to more energy efficient technologies.

Wednesday, Dec. 11

A Christmas Carol, the Dickens classic, will be presented at the Swampscott Library at 7 p.m. by the Delvine Theatre Company.
Saturday, Dec. 14

The Swampscott Holiday Parade, presented by the Swampscott Police Association.
