Two Swampscott Residents Appointed to YMCA Board

The Lynch/van Otterloo YMCA is excited to announce the appointment of three new members to the Board of Directors for 2011-2014 including Peter Spellios and Lynn Lindsey.

 

"We are very pleased that Dana, Lynn and Peter have joined the board," said Lynch/van Otterloo Y Board President Phil Gloudemans. "Each of them brings a particular expertise that will contribute to the effective governance of the organization. We are very appreciative of their commitment to the Y and its future."

Peter Spellios is a resident of Swampscott. He is a partner and senior vice president with The Beal Companies, LLP. As a member of Beal’s Executive Committee, Peter is engaged in the strategic direction of the company, as well as reviewing development and investment opportunities. Peter's activities include project and deal structuring, and lease negotiations.

Prior to joining The Beal Companies, Peter was a partner with Sherin and Lodgen LLP. Peter has also served as research director of the Massachusetts Legislature's Joint Committee on Natural Resources and Agriculture and clerked for Justice Karyn Faith Scheier of the Massachusetts Land Court.

Peter is a member and former chairman of the Zoning Board of Appeals. Peter received his B.A. in political science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and his J.D. at Suffolk University Law School.

Lynn Lindsey is a resident of Swampscott. For the past twenty years, she has been raising two daughters. She is actively engaged as a volunteer, most recently chairing the Shore Country Day School Auction.

Lynn’s professional experience began with Merrill Lynch, where, at the age of 22, she was the youngest female financial consultant of 10,000 worldwide employees. After completing her MBA, she was the sole proprietor of the Lynn Lindsey Co. and Beach Atlanta, creating and distributing beach products.

Lynn received her B.S. in finance from Miami University of Ohio, and her MBA from Emory University.

Dana De Nault is a resident of Marblehead. Recently, he founded De Nault and Associates, where he utilizes his skills toaccelerate business and improve the workplace through organizational development. Dana has had a successful career with technology start-ups in San Jose, after beginning his career with Oracle Corporation.

Since returning to his hometown of Marblehead in 2009, Dana has volunteered with the Y For All Campaign, with the Children’s Island Task Force, and completed his Master’s project working with the YMCA of the North Shore.

Dana received his B.A. in sociology from Bates College,
and his M.A. in organizational psychology from the Massachusetts School of
Professional Psychology.
