Electronics, Metals or Hazardous Materials, Anyone?

Mark your calendar. Spring recycling and collection events are coming up.

The cool rainy weather didn't dampen the enthusiasm for Swampscott's Zero Waste Day on April 20. Over 60 residents came by to donate items to Goodwill. Dozens of children's books were collected for the Reach Out and Read Program in Lynn, and a large dumpster was filled to the brim with rigid plastic to be recycled.

More recycling and collection events are coming up this spring. Here's what's going on:

MBTA Recycling Event, Sat. May 4, Salem MBTA Station, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Metals, electronics, appliances and toys.
