Big Blue Bargains Thrift Store Opening

Big Blue Bargains thrift shop will help the community recycle 'good stuff' while raising money for the schools!

On Saturday, Jan. 21 the Big Blue Bargains thrift store is scheduled to open its doors at the Swampscott Middle School on Forest Avenue. The store will be staffed by volunteers and all proceeds will benefit projects, programs and events of the five PTOs (Parent/Teacher Organizations) in town.

The goal of Big Blue Bargains is to establish a continuous resource of funds to enhance educational programs in the Swampscott Public Schools. In the process the thrift store will provide good quality, used items for reasonable prices, as well as provide a way for residents to recycle things locally that would otherwise be thrown out or sent to another charity.
