Thursday's Outdoor Movie Postponed Due to Weather Forecast

The movie Jaws will be shown on Aug. 23.

 

Town Recreation Director Danielle Strauss postponed the showing of Jaws for the summer outdoor movie series beacause of lightning forecasted Thursday.

Instead, the movie will be shown at on August 23.

It takes a long time to set up the movie, so with the threat of lightning looming for Thursday, the director opted to call off the event in advance.

The next movie to be shown in the summer series is The Lorax on August 16.

The first outdoor Department movie this summer was , shown to a large crowd, about 300 people, on a nice night on July 12.
