Four Arrests and a Sick Raccoon

The following information came from the Swampscott Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Friday, June 28

  • At 2:51 a.m., police charged Erick Guerrero, 39, of 65 Mt. Pleasant st., Lynn with heroin possession. He was arrested on Burpee Road.
  • At 4:41 a.m., police charged Jonathan Phillips, 21, of Essex Street in Lynn with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, breaking and entering a motor vehicle, disturbing the peace and receiving a stolen motor vehicle.
  • At 11:01 a.m., police received a report of a breaking and entering on Essex Street.
  • At 12:45 p.m., an Essex Street caller reported a sick raccoon lying down in a driveway on Essex Street.

Saturday, June 29

  • At 8:52 a.m., a walk-in to the police station reported that a GPS was stolen from a truck on Burrill Street.
  • At 8:41 p.m., police charged Damien Hinkell, 26, of 143 Glen Ave. North Adams with operating an uninsured motor vehicle with a suspended license.
  • At 11:59 p.m., police received a report from a caller that a Pine Street neighbor had pointed a gun at the caller. The suspect denied the allegation and allowed police to search for the gun.

Sunday, June 30

  • At 1:20 a.m., police received a report that a youth had smashed a car window was headed to the middle school. Police charged Nicholas Meninno, 19, of 13 Supreme Court, Swampscott with destruction of property, assault on a police officer, disturbing the peace and disorderly conduct.
  • At 9:07 p.m., police learned that a cat was found on Redington Street. The animal control officer was notified.
  • At 9:27 p.m., police received a report of loud fireworks on Jessie Street.
