The 118th running of the Boston Marathon takes place on Monday, April 21.
The marathon, which is the world's oldest annual marathon, winds 26 miles from Hopkinton to Boston, and invites thousands of runners. They train all year, running for health, for loved ones, for a cause ... for themselves.
