Weston Too Much for Blue

Swampscott boys lacrosse results from Friday.

At Blocksidge Field, resumed its game with Weston High School which had originally started on May 7,  but was postponed due to rain. Weston, the 3rd ranked team in EMass Division 3, led 5-0 when the original game was postponed.

Swampscott tried to make a game of it as they controlled the ball on the offensive side of the field.  But Weston goalie,  Jared Fong, made numerous saves. Finally Weston got the ball over midfield and scored with just over 10 minutes left in the half to make it 6-0.

Both teams had chances but neither could score. Swampscott broke through after a Sean Lannon pass was deflected in front of the net. Patrick Kennedy picked it up and beat the Weston goalie at the 1:21 mark to make the score 6-1 at the half.
