VIDEO: Big Blue Looks to Keep Tournament Ride Alive Tonight

Big Blue hockey won its first tournament hockey game in 44 years last weekend. The players will try to make it two in a row tonight against rival Marblehead

Interview with Swampscott Big Blue hockey coach Gino Faia before big game with Marblehead on Wednesday, 5:10 pm at the Chelmsford Forum.

What are your thoughts on the season?

It's been a great season, tying the 1989-90 season of best record 15-5 in school history, also winning 1st tournament game in 44 years and now to have most wins ever in a season 16-5. Could not have asked more from the guys. They all should be proud of what they accomplished this year.

We are practicing and playing the best hockey of the year for sure and we are finally healthy.

What influence do the two losses to Marblehead during the regular season have on Wednesday's game?

It's a new  season so the 2 losses don't mean much to us as far as this game goes and really all the pressure falls on Marblehead. We  have nothing to lose. They are suppose to beat us as they have been picked by many to win the states again and  they will have to do it by beating us 3 times in a season. We welcome the challenge of trying to beat a very tough Marblehead team.
