Unfinished Business for Big Blue Football Team

It's back to Malden tonight to compete Friday night's game with the Golden Tornadoes. The game was postponed with 4:26 left in the second quarter, Swampscott trailing 16-6.

Instead of trying to right the ship at halftime, coach Steve Dembowski will have close to 24 hours to get things straightened out after Friday's game was called due to lightning with under five minutes to go in the first half.

The game will resume tonight at 6 in Malden, with the home team up by 10 points with 4:26 left in the second quarter.

With the exception of the first drive of the game, that ended with a Mike Walsh to A. J. Baker touchdown pass, the Big Blue looked stuck in the mud Friday night.

And, the mud was everywhere at McDonald Stadium as rain pounded the field for most of the game. After falling behind 6-0, Malden came storming back on two touchdown passes from QB Jacob Martino. O'Shane McCreath ran in two-point conversions after both scores.

was unable to get any points off three Malden turnovers in the first half, including two nice interceptions by A. J. Baker.

Malden will have the ball when play resumes tonight. Malden (2-3) beat Lynn Engish 10-0 last weekend, while the Big Blue have been off since their one-point last Thursday night.
