Swampscott AD Names New Big Blue Basketball Coach

There's a new varsity boys' basketball coach at Swampscott High School.

Swampscott High School's boys' varsity basketball team has a new head coach. 

Swampscott Public Schools Athletic Director Jon Flanagan announced Wednesday that longtime Watertown High School basketball coach David Born would take over the team beginning next season.

Born, 56, said he is excited to bring an uptempo style of play to Swampscott and plans on implementing a full-court press, according to this story in The Salem News.

Former coach Justin Fucile announced earlier this spring that he would step down from the position to pursue a master's degree in school administration.
