Fiona Herring followed with an offensive putback and a shocked St. Pius team called a timeout. St. John's had poured in 16 straight points in less than 4 minutes to take the lead. Rhodes Leads St. John's Over Peabody

January 20, 2013

At the St. John's Parish Center in Peabody, the Girls Cadets took on St. John's of Peabody. Kendall Rhodes sparked a late first half rally as Swampscott proved too much for Peabody.

Swampscott got off to a slow start as Peabody scored the first 5 points of the game. But Swampscott slowly crept back. Jaymie Caponigro scored on a drive, an offensive tip, and with two made free thows. Ellie Wright banked in a jumper and Elizabeth Weisse scored off a steal. But St. John's of Swampscott still trailed by two with 3:20 to go in the first half. Swampscott needed a lift and they got it from Kendall Rhodes. Over the next three minutes, she would take over both offensively and defensively. First, she grabbed a rebound and put it in for the score.
