Lynn Chiefs Upset Windham 4-2 For Orr Division Championship

Swampscott/Nahant boys are members of the 2011-2012 MSDHL league championship team. The team won the league cup on Phillips Andover ice on Monday.


The Lynn Chiefs (8-3-2) upset Windham, NH (10-0-3) to win the MSDHL  2011-2012 Orr Division championship Monday at Phillips Andover Academy.  

The Chiefs shut-out Wilmington in the semi-finals Saturday night to advance to the championship game with the undefeated Windham team.

The Orr Division is the top division in the MSHDL made up mostly of 8th graders with a few 7th graders. 

Swampscott residents on the team include Michael Johnson, Ryan Donnelly and Louis Olivieri, all 7th graders at the Swampscott Middle School.

Nahant residents, all 8th graders,  include Jackson Allard from SMS, Conor Foley from St. Mary’s, and Tyler Donovan from Sacred Heart.

This is the second consecutive year the Chiefs took the Orr Division Title under the leadership of Head Coach, Brian Gauthier.
