Her-ricanes Storm Back To Win Championship

The U9 indoor soccer team won in dramatic fashion on Saturday, repeating as indoor champs.

The Swampscott Her-ricanes U9 Girls Soccer Team won the U10 Girls Indoor League Championship at Danvers Indoor Sports this past Saturday beating Middleton 2-1 in overtime.

The girls had a terrific indoor season playing in all three sessions with a combined record of 17-2-2. 

They went undefeated in the playoffs with a 1-0-2 record making it into the finals where they came back from a 1-0 deficit with 34 seconds remaining in regulation to tie it up 1-1.

It took 1:33 for the girls to win in sudden death overtime. It was a great finish to a terrific indoor season!!

This is the same team that last year won their U8 league's championship, again by defeating Middleton in a close game, 4-3.

Rylee Flannery, Aislinn McCarran, Abby Rhoads, Dana DePiero, Reese Robertson, Jordan Waters, Mackenzie Kearney, Ella Sprague, Allison Tribendis, Sarah Tribendis, Madeline Tribendis, Isla Herring, Emma Fogg and Natalie Domeniconi

They are coached by Shane McCarran and Tim Rhoads.

This team consists of players from Clark, Hadley, Stanley and Tower Schools.
