Girls Run Away From Revere 71-18, Boys Outpaced 54-32

 

Sweeps in the mile and 1000 meter runs powered the girls to a dominant thrashing 71-18 of Revere on an up and down night for the Swampscott High varsity track teams.  

The boys, meanwhile dropped a 54-32 decision.

Alison Carr, McKenzie Robertson and Caitlin Ludke went 1-2-3 in the 1000, while Sarah Kelley, Emily Cerra and Lauren Sullivan did the same in the mile.

Coach Eric Robinson praised Melinda Wilson who won the shot put with a personal best heave of 30 feet.

For the boys, Zach Blonder won the 50 yard dash, Matt Nardiello the 1000, and Peter Hale the 2-mile, but it wasn't enough.
