Blue Sports Wrap: Golf and Girls Soccer Score Wins

The golf team returned to winning form and girls soccer moved to 2-0 on the season Tuesday.

Nikki Rose scored a goal with 15 minutes to play in the game against Medford Tuesday, breaking a 0-0 deadlock.

With 8 minutes to play, fell back to a defensive mode. They added a fifth defender and Medford, on their home field, failed to mount a threat, said coach Francesco Recchia.

The coach was happy with his team's 1-0 win, especially their finish.

Kelly Birchmore assisted on the Rose goal.

The Blue, 2-0, play next on Friday against Malden, another nonconference game.

The game will be played at home on the high school field.

They played at home at Tedesco Country Club.

Blue won all but one match, and that match halved, New said.

Today the golfers travel to Kernwood Country Club in Salem for a home match against Wakefield.
