Blue Game a Go

The turf was soft on Wednesday but officials expect it to be ready for football action tonight.

The director and school walked Blocksidge Field Wednesday, 30 hours after Tuesday's drenching made a pool of it.

The surface was soft in the mid-afternoon walk, said Public Works Director Gino Cresta.

But he expected subsequent sun and wind would dry the surface enough for play tonight.

Cresta said that Meninno Construction pumped standing water from the field on Tuesday, volunteering the service.
