Blue Aim Higher

Lynn English Promises a Test

Swampscott High climbed into the Boston Globe's Top Twenty rankings this week and Saturday will face the team they replaced, Lynn English.

The visiting Bulldogs fell out of the Top Twenty when they dropped a 36-35 decision to Beverly.

The game will be a battle of dynamic quarterbacks:  Swampscott is led by senior Mike Walsh, who has thrown 7 touchdown passes and run for five more.

Meanwhile, the visiting Bulldogs have Jermaine Kelley at the helm, who has tossed eight scores and has run for three on his own.

Kelley, incidentally, is a Swampscott transplant and was last seen wearing the Blue as he romped to an undefeated NEC outdoor track season in the high hurdles.

A 2:30 kickoff at Blocksidge Field, and it's going to be some entertaining kind of football.
