Beware Other Solar Companies Soliciting in Town

The Solarize Swampscott program is not soliciting door-to-door.  We have received word that there is another solar panel company soliciting here in Swampscott.  This company has nothing to do with the program we are running in town but are capitalizing on the publicity Solarize is doing here around solar power.  Because they are only a PPA based company and have not been vetted by the Mass Clean Energy Center, they were not one of the companies we interviewed for this program.
 
We  highly encourage you to meet with the installer Swampscott is working with, RGS Energy before signing anything with this other company.  RGS is a well-respected company with no high-pressure salespeople.  They only install high quality panels and roof equipment that will give 25+ years of solar power.  They can also talk to you about the many benefits of both a PPA option as well as a direct purchase.  Either way you decide to go, we think you will find that RGS Energy will give you a better quality package with a no-pressure sales person who gives you complete information on all of the options.

Also, the Swampscott Solarize program is a community-based program where the more people who sign up for solar panels the better the price is for everyone.  It is tier based and we are already just 2kW away from being in the 3rd of 5 tiers, after only 2 weeks of the program's start!
