VIDEO: You've Got Four Nights to Place Your Bids To Help TV Students

The annual auction to benefit Swampscott High School TV Productions students will run live, Monday through Thursday starting at 7:30 p.m.

Bidders hoping to get an Elvis action figure only have to turn on the TV and make a bid on The King, or any of the hundreds of other items available in this year’s student run auction to benefit the TV Production Department.

Viewers can tune in at 7:30 each evening to check out the great items in the auction, which will be running live on Channel 15 (Comcast) and on Channel 40 (Verizon).

“We’ve got many, many great items this year,” Tom Reid a TV Production teacher at Swampscott High School. “The students work very hard on this event, we are self-supporting and the auction is our most-watched program of the year.”

“It’s a great learning experience for my students,” Reid said.

If you like pizzas, there’s a gift certificate for pizza pies and Five Guys. There’s Sox against those other Sox, from Chicago, game tickets. You can buy commemorative stamps, a pearl necklace, or a nice lunch with Mr. Franklin and Mrs. Green.

You can place your new Elvis action figure next to you while you’re taking placekicking lessons.

The auction is produced and run by students from the Cable Club and the TV Production Department, and is live, every night, Monday through Thursday. The bidding action begins each evening at 7:30 p.m.

You can go shopping with your Stop & Shop gift card, get 10-20 ice creams with your Red Rock gift certificate, or receive tutoring to beef up your study, organizational and note-taking skills.

The auction begins Monday night for the first of four consecutive nights on Channel 15 for Comcast subscribers, and Channel 40 for people using Verizon.
