Job Description Swampscott is a PreK-12 system of five schools serving 2300 students who benefit from strong community support. The Swampscott Public Schools are committed to continuous improvement, rigorous standards, and increasing the achievement levels for all of our students. The Principal will be part of the leadership and day-to-day management of a high performing college preparatory suburban high school serving 750 students in grades 9-12. 

Salary and benefits competitive and negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Massachusetts principal certification and advanced degree required. Five years of successful experience as a principal at the secondary level preferred.

Job Requirements The successful candidate will have demonstrated success as an agent of change in the following areas: experience with NEASC accreditation standards; instructional leadership; commitment to issues of diversity and multiculturalism; commitment to learner-centered pedagogy and strategies to improve student learning and engagement in school for students; evidence of firm, consistent, and sensitive interactions with students, parents and staff.

At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred

Master degree preferred

Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required
