Nina Chen said American classes are much smaller than Chinese classes and students here are more involved in the lessons than their counterparts in China. Students in China are largely silent and focus attention on the teacher.

The latest exchange between Swampscott schools and the Dandelion School in China had English teacher Nina Chen visit Swampscott Middle School.

Swampscott Superintendent Lintroduced Chen to members last week.

Chen spent her last day in Swampscott on Tuesday.
