“The Search Committee and I spent many hours reviewing applicants for the position,” the superintendent said.  “The pool of candidates was strong, and to me that shows the positive reputation that our district has in educational circles across the state.  I want to publically thank all the members of the Search Committee for their efforts”

Rozmiarek looks forward to his new position.

“I am very happy to be coming to Swampscott High School," he said. I enjoyed meeting the students, staff and community during the interview process, and look forward to joining this team."

Prior to his joining Swampscott High School and his tenure at Lowell High School, Rozmiarek served as assistant principal at North Reading High School, assistant principal at Mansfield High School, and as an adjunct instructor at American International College.

The Search Committee thanks the other two finalists – John Dillon, assistant principal at Minuteman High School in Lexington and Andrew Wulf, administrator for teaching and learning at Salem High School.  After some reflection, Wulf respectfully withdrew his name from consideration stating he is heavily invested in Salem’s turnaround efforts and has chosen to continue his work in Salem to complete the job that has been started.

Rozmiarek joins Assistant Principals Frank Kowalski and Lytania Mackey on the leadership team at Swampscott High School.
