Superintendent Announces Finalists for Swampscott High Principal

The three finalists will visit the school May 1 and 2.

1) Newsbit of the Day:

The high school principal search committee has selected three finalists for the position, according to Dr. Lynne Celli, superintendent.  Finalists were selected from a semi-finalist field of 11 and a pool of 39 applicants. 

The finalists are John Dillon III, assistant principal at Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical High School in Lexington, Edward Rozmiarek, headmaster at Lowell High School, and Andrew Wulf, administrator of teaching and learning at Salem High School.

Finalists will visit Swampscott High School on May 1 and May 2 for open forum meetings with staff, community members, students, parents, and administration.  A complete schedule for each finalist will be announced early next week.

Curbside trash and recycling will be delayed by one day throughout the week (Monday's pick-up, April 15, will be on Tuesday, etc.).

3) Swampscott Sports:

The Swampscott High boys lacrosse team is in action Sunday at Endicott College where they will play Saugus.

4) Weather Watch: 

A slight chance of showers before noon. Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 63.
