Stanley School Principal Pamela Angelakis has been visiting all the Stanley classrooms to discuss the upcoming fair and there is much enthusiasm building for this event.

The students will come up with their own hypothesis, test it, record their results, and present their projects in June.

Some participants will work independently and others in small groups.  Projects will be age appropriate providing an opportunity for students to demonstrate their enthusiasm for an idea and project that they created themselves.

A list of possible science fair topics has been provided to all students and is available on the school PTA website.  Students are also encouraged to visit the Swampscott library for science project ideas.

Teachers and parent volunteers will serve as “scientists” on the evening of the fair, asking students to briefly describe their projects.  All participants will be awarded a “Nobel prize” for their achievements.

For more information on the Science Fair, those interested may contact the Stanley School PTA and information can be found at the following link:  http://stanley.swampscott.k12.ma.us/Pages/SwampscottStanley_PTA/index.
