Science and Technology Family Night Tuesday

STEM Family night, Tuesday from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the high school, will present hands-on activities that showcase science, technology, engineering and math skills being honed at the school.

 

Students will showcase science and technology projects Tuesday at the high school, leading families through health, art and chemistry activities among others.

STEM Family night runs from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm in the atrium and the gym.

Twenty students will be stationed at 12 different posts.

Families can learn about ancient architecture, have their heart rate monitored, watch the Cable Club reel, and see an art installation.

They can also learn about volume and pressure and see robotic soccer, basketball shooting and sailing.

These are hands-on activities.

STEM Coordinator Brandy Wilbur said the STEM program excites students about science, technology, engineering and math.

That excitement inspires them to think about STEM-related college studies and careers.

STEM Night visitors will gain an appreciation for STEM activities at the high school and the critical thinking and technical skills students are developing.
