School Committee to Address Former Superintendent's Contract
The committee meets on Tuesday at the high school.
The Swampscott School Committee is scheduled to take up former Superintendent Lynne Celli's contract when the committee meets on Tuesday.
Town Administrator Tom Younger said on Friday, Aug. 9, that as of that date Lynne Celli was being paid on a weekly basis.
The former superintendent told us on Thursday that, as of Aug. 8, she was still an employee under contract with the school district in a part-time role.
The contract calls for her to work for the district in a half-time position as executive superintendent for special projects including plans to meet the district's elementary school building needs.
The contract salary is $85,000.
On Tuesday, the School Committee will take up the contractual matter during new business.
The meeting is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. at Swampscott HIgh School in Room B208.
