Swampscott varsity golfers played Salem at Kernwood golf course Wednesday and won 38 1/2-33 1/2.

The win made Big Blue's NEC record 3-3, and, out of conference, 6-3.

Results were as follows: in the 3 spot Anthony Springthorpe won 6 1/2-2 1/2; in the 4 spot Peter Wright won 6 1/2-2 1/2; in the 5 spot Victoria Malatesta tied 4 1/2-4 1/2; in the 6 spot Pat Burkett won 5 1/2-3 1/2; in the 7 spot Cameron Swigor won 6 1/2-2 1/2; and in the 8 spot Griffin Hunt won 5 1/2-3 1/2
