Parade and Snow Removal on Selectmen's Agenda

The Board of Selectmen will also host a public hearing on a used car dealership and discuss school matters at Wednesday's meeting.

Selectmen will hear a request for a June parade and an update on snow removal from the director of when they meet Wednesday night.

The meeting starts at 7 in the selectmen’s room on the first floor at Town Hall.

Veteran Services Officerwill request the board’s permission to hold a Veterans Appreciation Parade on June 4.

The parade has been planned for a long time by veterans including Schultz and Commander .

The parade will honor the sacrifices of veterans and their families.

Also at the meeting, Gino Cresta, director of public works, will update selectmen on snow clearing during the latest blizzard.

Earlier, after the Dec. 26-27 the department and private contractors fell behind removing snow from roads. This delayed the time by which some of the roads were made passable.

After the , the department received complaints for not bringing some main roads to bare pavement by the morning after the storm.

Other agenda items on Wednesday include a public hearing on a request from the new owner of Humphrey Motors to continue to use the business for used car sales and automotive repairs.

Another agenda item includes a discussion with the School Committee and superintendent.
