Students may leave the café and library at 7:50 and must be in homeroom at 8.  For the first day, Grade 5 students will remain in the library and homeroom teachers will meet their classes there.

Students who are new to the middle school are invited to visit the building on Monday afternoon, Aug. 29, from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

This is an opportunity for new students to find their lockers and tour the building once more before the start of the school year.

Parents should mark their calendars for two important dates.

Wednesday, Sept. 7,  at 9 a.m. is the first Parent Coffee with the principal.

This is an opportunity for parents to meet with Mr. , the Middle School principal.

There is no agenda to these meetings.  It is a chance for parents to ask questions and hear updates on any Middle School issues or upcoming events.

The second date is Wednesday evening, Sept. 14, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. when the middle school will host its annual Back to School Curriculum Night.  This is a time for parents to meet their child’s teachers and hear an overview of the year.

“I am beginning my sixth year in Swampscott and I am looking forward to a great year ahead of us at the Middle School,” says Principal Ralph Watson.
