Machon Turned Over to Town
School Committee members said the district would not use the building again.
The School Committee voted Wednesday to turn over the Machon School building to the town.
School officials said the Burpee Road building was in disrepair and vandals were breaking in constantly.

“We’ll turn the building over to the town, we were never going to use it again, it was time to have it change hands,” said Superintendent Lynne Celli. “Hopefully, the town can reap the benefits when the building is sold.”
Machon closed its doors in 2007.
