 2) Swampscott Scholars:  inducted 29 National Honor Society members this year. The society honors students for excellence in four areas: scholarship, leadership, service and character. One of the 29 students was Taylorlyn Stephan.

3) Swampscott Athletics: The Big Blue track teams turned in impressive showings Saturday at the NECs. Both squads earned second place finsishes in the overall standings.

4) Weather Watch:  The National Weather Service is predicting a chance of showers, mainly after 1 pm. Areas of fog after 5 pm. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 62.
