Most of all, organizers are hoping you will come to the 19th annual Country Fair and Cow Plop for the kids.

The fair is Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Clarke Elementary School, 100 Middlesex Avenue. The rain date is June 5.

The event, put on by the Clarke School PTA, is the school’s biggest fundraiser, generating over $10,000 each year, said Jeffrey Rubin.

The funds pay for field trips to museums, enrichment programs such a poet in residence and other cultural doings.

In the past, Chinese dancers have come to the school to demonstrate their art form and give the children dancing lessons, he said.

On Sunday there will be plenty to do at the fair.

Make friends with animals in the petting zoo.

Ride a pony.

Compete for a cake in a game of musical chairs called a cake walk.

Jump on the moon bounce or other inflatable games.

Listen to a DJ's music selections.

What else you ask?

Play the basketball shoot, eat fair food, take a chance on a raffle and amble through a marketplace where vendors sell everything from handmade jewelry to sports memorabilia and cosmetics.

Then there is Cow Plop Bingo.

Five hundred tickets are sold at $20 each.

It’s a raffle with a $2,000 grand prize, a second prize of $500 and a third prize of $200.

A cow will walk across a 500-square grid on the Clarke playing field.

Where the cow plops determines the winner.

The fair is a traditional country fair, thanks in large part to the animals, provided by Rocky Acres Farms in Chesterfield, MA, Rubin said.
