The Lynn Area Chamber of Commerce will host the 1st annual community-wide Health & Wellness Fair showcasing over 30 health and wellness exhibitors, free flu shots, live interactive demos, games and contests for all ages on Saturday, September 29th at Lynn Classical High School, on 235 O’Callaghan Way in Lynn, from 10:00am – 3:00pm. Admission is free and there’s plenty of parking.

“Tis the season for Flu shots”, says Lynn Area Chamber of Commerce executive director Leslie Gould. “We are thrilled to have the City of Lynn Health Department on hand to administer free flu shots to the community.”

But Gould adds that there are fun family activities for all ages at the Health and wellness Fair this weekend.

“Health and wellness is lifestyle. People have to choose to be fit, eat right and stay mentally and spiritually in balance”, says Gould. “It’s not easy and life moves pretty fast,  so what we at the Lynn Area Chamber of Commerce   tried to create is an event that offers a lot of education through our exhibitors and a lot of fun through our demos and interactive activities for all age groups.”

The event runs from 10am – 3pm.  Kids will love the “Touch-A-Truck” right outside the gymnasium doors with at least 5 different trucks to view and climb on from 10am – 1:00pm. Kids and adults can test their stamina on the 64 foot obstacle course, and kids under 10 years old can enter the “free throw” contest with prizes for the first 20 winners! The event will also include a Moon Bounce,  free face painting and giveaways.
