War on Terror Monument Will Soon Go Up
The Global War on Terror Monument Committee will take its place in the line of monuments on Monument Avenue by Veterans Day.

had fundraisers, donations and worked with David DiFillipo of Woodlawn Memorials to bring down the cost of the monument.
Together as a committee and with the generous donations from everyone, the group raised $15,000 to build the monument and have it installed for Veterans Day on November 11th.

The monument will honor everyone in Swampscott who has lost their life in the war on terror (military of civilian) or served in the military.
The committee was formed in 2009.
