Richard is running for the 6th congressional district seat that is currently held by John Tierney, and he was Charlie Baker’s running mate in the 2010 gubernatorial election.

Members of the SRTC attended the event along with former US Rep. Peter Torkildsen and State Rep. Donald Wong from Saugus. Election season is gearing up and promises to be just as exciting and engaging as 2010.

An important part of election season is getting to know the candidates, their background and why they are running. The Swampscott and Marblehead Republican Town Committees are inviting the public to join us as we welcome Richard Tisei to the VFW on Westshore Drive in Marblehead.

Richard will be there Feb. 13th at 7:30 p.m. to discuss the issues important to the 6th district, answer questions and meet all interested in learning more about his candidacy.

"Richard's many years as a state representative and state senator on Beacon Hill, coupled with his small business experience and knowledge of the North Shore make him an excellent candidate to represent us in Washington," said Swampscott Chairman Susan Withrow.
