Town Manager to Meet With Youth Recreation Groups

Town Manager Tom Younger told selectmen last week that he planned to sit down with youth recreation league organizers for a roundtable discussion.

On the table would be athletic field management and fees and management of leagues.

Generally towns do not oversee these programs, he said. Swampscott does oversee a youth basketball league, however, he said.

The meeting — no date, time and place was indicated — is intended to improve processes including those related to field fees and management.
